Standing Committees
Ongoing committees, meet once a month

Executive Committee, Tim Cross
The leadership of the Chamber serves as a motivating force for productive activity of the Chamber. Meets monthly.

Ambassadors Team, Jill Wolfendale
The active liaison between the Chamber and its existing members. This dedicated group is at the forefront for creating new business relationships and retaining existing members. Meets monthly.

Budget and Finance Committee, Bob Paulhus
Reviews the financial condition of the Chamber and drafts the proposed budget for each fiscal year. Meets quarterly to review the operations of each committee and makes readjustments in the budget as it deems necessary and advisable. Meets quarterly.

School to Career Partnership Committee, Tim Cross, Terry Ingano & Kim Kellan
An effective resource for our schools and a driving force in school/business relations. The committee consists of local businesses of all sizes, public school systems within the region and several local colleges. Meets monthly.

Task Force Committees
Meet for a designated period of time to perform a task and then disband

Nominating Committee, Robin Duncan
Meets in late summer to create a slate of Directors and Officers. Meets bi-weekly in September.

$uper Raffle, Deb Kilgour & Bob Knipe
A committee to advise and direct the implementation of the Chamber's annual $uper Raffle. One kick-off committee meeting, raffle sales take place from September - December.

Program Committees
Meet for a designated period of time to plan and assist with a major function and then disband

Annual Meeting Committee, TBA
Plans the Chamber's Annual Meeting dinner program. The Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Professional Individual of the Year are selected and recognized. Meets bi-weekly from January - April.

Wachusett Chamber Open Golf Tournament Committee, Deb Kilgour & Bob Knipe
Plans the annual Wachusett Chamber Open, an important networking and fund-raising event. Meets bi-weekly from January - June.

A Taste of the Wachusett Region Committee, TBA
Plans the Chamber's annual food and beverage trade show, a well attended and highly publicized program that allows member businesses in the food service industry to promote their products and services to the area businesses and the community in general. Meets bi-weekly from April - October

Networks
Committees designed to satisfy a specific population of the membership

Women's Business Advisory Network, TBA
A forum for women to network, expand their business contacts and learn about important business issues from professional guest speakers. Meets for lunch on the second Wednesday of every other month.

Wachusett Business Opportunity Group, Peter Iannacchino
A forum for members to network, exchange leads and expand their business contacts. Meets monthly.

New committee initiatives for 2008

Communications, Suzanne Mackenzie
Roll out 2008 communications plan and evaluate existing marketing, outreach, etc. Meets monthly.

Economic Development, Don Lowe
This key committee will work with town officials, local government and business leaders to enhance the Wachusett region. Meets monthly.

Membership and Retention, Mike Roux & Dave Frem
Review membership activities, evaluate programs and services, etc. Meets monthly.

Technology, TBA
Keeping the organization and membership up to date and relevant. Meets monthly.

Tourism, Kent Russell & Peter Garofoli
Create a plan and execute campaigns to bring people to Wachusett region. Meets monthly.

Young Professionals Group, Beth Burns
Meetings and events geared at the under 40 population, creating future leaders. Meets monthly.
